<p>Our rights are under assault by an authoritarian Federal government. We need leaders who will ensure that Massachusetts doesn't back down, and that we do everything we can to ensure our neighbors and loved ones are safe.</p><p><strong>Immigrant rights</strong></p><ul><li><p>End Massachusetts' contract with ICE, a 287(g) agreement that has been used to deport thousands of people with state dollars (we are the only Democratically controlled state with a contract like this)</p></li><li><p>Go beyond the PROTECT Act to  restrict civil arrests at all sensitive locations, including libraries and  and houses of worship</p></li><li><p>Expand legal aid fund for immigration cases</p></li></ul><p><strong>LGBTQ rights</strong></p><ul><li><p>Support access to gender-affirming care in health insurance</p></li><li><p>Support laws to restrict book banning and removals in libraries and schools</p></li></ul><p><strong>Reproductive rights</strong></p><ul><li><p>Increase access to abortion care</p></li><li><p>Support full pregnancy coverage and care access</p></li></ul><p><strong>Community safety</strong></p><ul><li><p>Restrict the usage of Flock cameras/license plate readers, and data brokers selling personal info to law enforcement</p></li><li><p>Promote and fund alternative responders to non-violent 911 calls, such as those related to mental health and homelessness</p></li></ul>
